Our Story

In 2011, Sara Wroblewski was traveling in Nairobi, Kenya, where she met Anselm Croze, an acclaimed artisan with a specialty in glassblowing. Anselm challenged Sara to come up with a way to raise $6,000 to support a local school. She saw this as a unique opportunity to put her education to use and to give back to those in need. Read more about how it all started

Just one year later, Sara’s idea to design and sell glass beads which were recycled and handmade in Kenya – funded Anselm’s initiative entirely and set the foundation for what would soon become One Bead, a 501(c)3 organization.

Today, with representatives across the globe and a growing number of elementary school partnerships, One Bead is providing students worldwide with the inspiration and opportunity to positively impact others.

Our mission is to prove that one student, just like one bead, can be a catalyst for change. We hope you'll join us.
