Our featured speakers are leaders in the community who have the expertise and passion to translate curriculum goals into engaging learning experiences. Many are also Boston Public School graduates themselves. Continue reading to learn more about our speaker program and nominate a feature speaker.
Kevin Thai knows how to connect with middle schoolers. He starts every presentation by sharing that his first subjects were toys (Legos) and that his drive to turn photography into a full-time career was motivated largely in part by his desire to save up for Disney. From there, Kevin highlights some of the familiar faces he's photographed over the years before giving students the chance to step behind the lens themselves. Outside of the classroom, Kevin supports our community by offering 1:1 photography sessions to One Bead's growing network of guest speakers. Needless to say, when it comes to making an impact, Kevin is all in.
